Introduction

MPICH-MX is a port of MPICH1 on top of MX (ch_mx), and MPICH2-MX is a port of MPICH2 on top of MX (ch_mx).

Since MX-10G and MX-2G are fully compatible at the API and application level, the MPICH-MX and MPICH2-MX middleware can be used with both MX-10G and MX-2G.
